Shen Meng Jun is a crotchety prideful 70-year-old widow who frequently finds faults with everyone around her. She takes pride in her ability to raise her son single-handedly, despite the poverty during the Cultural Revolution, to become a professor at a prestigious university. After several clashes with her own family, they decide it’s time for her to go to a nursing home. Feeling forlorn, she wanders the streets and impulsively decides to take a final portrait at a photo studio she happens by. Upon leaving, to her astonishment, she realizes that she has been transformed back into her 20-year-old self.
